NBA demands release of kidnapped S/Court Justice’s wife, daughter & driver


BENIN – THE Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Benin branch has called for the immediate and unconditional release of Mrs. Bode Rhodes-Vivour, wife of a Supreme Court Justice, her daughter and driver who were abducted by unknown persons .
The association implored security agencies in the state to ensure that the wife of the Supreme Court Justice who is also a lawyer and the two other persons abducted were rescued from the abductors.
A statement by the NBA Chairman Benin, Oriane Akerele and Prince Collins Ogiegbaen (Secretary), also called on the Edo state government to beef up  security in the state with a view to safeguarding the lives of the people and properties in and around the state.
It further enjoined the Edo State Police Command, the Department of Security Service  (DSS) and all security agencies in the  state to ensure that these dastardly acts of criminal activities were nipped in the bud.
The NBA recalled that recently, another legal practitioner in the state, Mr. B.O Osagie was
kidnapped.
It would be recalled that the family of the Supreme Court Justice was kidnapped by a yet to be identified persons on their way to Benin ahead of the wedding of the Jurist’s daughter

AMAECHI WILL BE TREATED LIKE A TRAITOR -DOKUBO-ASARI

Leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, Alhaji Mujaheed Dokubo-Asari, has described Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State as a traitor. According to him, since the governor joined forces with the North to work against President Goodluck Jonathan, he has betrayed the people of the Niger Delta. Dokubo-Asari, who spoke with journalists on Friday in Abuja, on Jonathan-Amaechi rift among other issues, said the 2015 general elections would “define and decide” the existence of Nigeria.
