Osaze is a time bomb – Pa Ojidoh warns Keshi

Veteran sports administrator, Pa John Ojidoh is not excited by calls for the recall of West Brom of England forward, Peter Osaze Odemwinge to the Super Eagles.
The former chairman of defunct Bendel State Football Association said that such calls were ill-timed and would be counter productive.

“Those who want Osaze to be recalled with a  charged Yobo are sponsoring terrorism in the national team,” Pa Ojidoh said from his Illah home yesterday.
After recalling, with fear,  the recent posturing of the former Lokomotive Moscow attacker against Nigerian football authorities and the national team coaches, Ojidoh said, “with time bombs already dropped by Osaze on both the NFF and the coach, if he is called to camp with recently disgruntled players, the bombs will explode and shatter all the unity, peace, love, loyalty and
productivity in the Super Eagles camp.”
Osaze’s penchant for face-offs with national team coaches from Shaibu Amodu, Lars Lagerback, Samson Siasia to the present coach, Stephen Keshi has become legendary and Pa Ojidoh does not see this as an attribute that can bring the desired peace and unity in Eagles camp.
“No decent organisation can safely accommodate Osaze’s antisocial propensity. He needs time, prayer, advice and perhaps therapy to be rehabilitated.”
When Keshi considered recalling him last year Osaze told Keshi on phone that he was not happy that he was substituted during a Nations Cup qualifier in Rwanda and hoped such would not happen again. Keshi told him that if he had his way he would have changed many players that day but that FIFA rules allowed only three changes. Keshi discussed with his assistants and their general conclusion was that Osaze, having appeared to be giving conditions for his return to Eagles, was not yet ready for the national team service. They left him out and he took to the social media, Twitter where he lambasted both the coach and the Nigeria Football Federation.
Osaze has also been having running battles with his England club, Westbrom.
Recognising the talent in Osaze, Pa Ojidoh said he prayed “God to grant him the serenity to know the things he can’t change. Courage to change those things he can change and the wisdom to know the difference of both.
