CAF U-17: Chukwu calls for replacement of players

Former Super Eagles Coach Christian Chukwu has called for the immediate replacement of three players of the Golden Eaglets  who were disqualified after MRI test didn’t place them under the age of 17.
CAF organised the tests before the U-17 event took off in Morocco. The disqualified players could not immediately be replaced in Morocco.

Chukwu who watched with dismay as the high scoring Eaglets fell twice to the Ivorians Baby Elephants in the championship said it was unfortunate that they had to lose on penalties after  failing to convert many chances they created in the first half in the final game on Saturday at the Grand Stade, Marrakech.
Chukwu said, “it’s unfortunate that we lost on penalties but you could see that we could have rapped off the match in the first half as we had clear chances which we could not utilize. It is all part of football. I think our boys have done their best, we still need to keep them together and with more exposure before the World Cup, I think we will do better.
”Again,  we should now replace the three players that we lost through the MRI test immediately. Our team started well in the tournament and gave us high hopes only for them  to fail to live up to expectation on the last day.
My advise is that the coach should keep the boys together and give them more exposure with more international friendly matches before the World Cup proper because I believe with this team we can still do something at the World Cup.
The former skipper of the Green Eagles  also advised the coach to beef up the team with more attackers.
